Dear Children of Priory Woods School,

I have just looked at your web-site and I am truly gob-smacked, it is amazing!  You have such talented children in your school, the art work, cookery and music prove that, and your teachers and TA's must work very hard to provide you with such fantastic activities and then display them on your very own web-site.  I shall be telling the children in my school all about your web-site, and, hopefully, we can design one of our own.  It won't be half as good as yours though.  Keep up the good work, I shall be popping back regularly!

What a fantastic webpage! I only wish my school's was half as good. Perhaps it will be after we learn lots from yours. The programs you use are wonderful and you are certainly an enthusiastic and creative school. You have provided me with lots of info that looks user friendly along with an insight to the running of your school and its programs. It is great to check out the curriculum from another country and share learning and resources. Thank you.

What a brilliant website!!!! Not only has all the hard work, dedication and imagination allowed our Special Developmental School to increase their resources but it has also enabled our students to use very motivational and fun programs. To top it off, it has also motivated many staff into receiving the professional development necessary for us to make similar resources. Thank you so much in your generosity with sharing and I am sure that as soon as we have developed our own we would love to share them with you.

A truly magnificent resource for Special Needs children. There are many commercially produced programs, but few come close to matching these. The fact that you are working directly with the end users sticks out a mile because everything is so motivating, easy to use and age / interest appropriate. Congratulations and best wishes.

Thank you.

It would be a great help if I could contact somebody at your school to ask a few questions. I appreciate your sharing of your work. Thanks, Barbara

The website just gets better and better Ian! I still find it incredible that you put all that effort in and yet are happy to share the results with everyone free of charge! Your future pupils at the Cleveland Unit are particularly enjoing the switch videos (as are the staff!) I've not found anything else so motivating - we have great discos - i think the rest of the unit is really jealous!
my only tiny concern is that some of the downloads don't seem to be working - I know it's incredibly greedy of me to want even more than you've already provided but once i've got a taste i just can't wait to get them into school for the kids! (the ones i've come across are teletubbies, 5 little ducks and thomas the tank engine) thanks again for everything!

Thank you so much for making these resources available. I was told about your site by an OT today, and have already bookmarked it on all of the computers of my colleagues at school - tomorrow we'll have a lot of fun with our kids, who all have severe and multiple disabilities, am always looking for things that are single switch accessible - my literacy and numeracy programs are going to be very exciting for my little kids, and the other teachers are looking forward to trying the pop videos - let you know how we all go!

What a wonderful place for kids to learn and grow! I am very impressed with how Priory Woods has so successfully integrated technology with the curriculum so that all students may learn! I am a speech therapist and I also teach AT/AAC classes at a local university. I plan on having many of my students, fellow therapists and classroom teachers have a look at your site to see what can be accomplished with AT when the program is implemented appropriately!

I recently came across your site while researching for a project on animal cruelty and I am disgusted by the number of people who think animals should perform in circus' and that there is nothing wrong with it. There is. All that nonsense about them being loved by their trainers and being cared for properly is a load of (expletive deleted). Animals are too easily exploited and are only used for money. Money is what it's really all about. Not the enjoyment of the audience, if that is what you really get joy out of. You all don't understand the issue well enough if you really believe that is true. Sorry for putting this in your guestbook but I want people to read this and ask themselves again if they truly believe animals were meant for this kind of life.

We love all the wonderful resources you are kind enough to share with us. We would be very grateful of your opinions on the pros and cons of interactive whiteboards with the range of needs of your pupils. We are currently planning resources for a new complex learning difficulties school to be opened in 2006. The plans currently include a whiteboard in each class. Currently we have no experience of these boards and we want to make sure they are a resource which will be fully utilised and of value to all our pupils.
We keep mentioning your website to anyone and everyone! Thanks again.
